Pipe Bevelers

Portable, cold beveling machines for pipeline weld preparation

G.B.C. pipe beveling machines cover the full diameter spectrum that Gulf industrial projects demand - from ½″ (12.4 mm) instrument lines up to 40″ (1,016 mm) large-bore transmission pipe. Every machine operates by cold mechanical beveling: no heat input, no sparks, no distortion of the base material. In oil refineries, desalination plants, and power generation facilities where open-flame or arc-based processes require a Hot Work permit, G.B.C. beveling machines are frequently the only approved method for on-site pipe end preparation. The range produces V-bevels, J-bevels, and internal tapers in a single machine setup, working on carbon steel, stainless steel, Duplex, Super Duplex, Inconel, copper, and other alloys - whether in a fabrication workshop or directly on an active pipeline in the field.

Pipe beveling machines for the Gulf and Middle East

Fourteen models span the range from compact small-bore units to heavy-duty large-diameter machines. All are portable and field-deployable.

Mini series: small-bore beveling for heat exchangers, boiler tubes, and instrumentation lines

MINI K

Internal-clamping beveler for Øi 20–42 mm (optional collet extends to 12.4 mm). Produces V-bevels, J-bevels, and internal tapers on carbon steel, stainless, Duplex, and Inconel. Available in pneumatic, electric, or battery drive – useful where mains power or air supply is unavailable at the workface.

MINI K LEVER

Lever-operated axial feed reduces cycle time per tube in high-volume boiler tube preparation. Internal clamping on Øi 20–42 mm. The lever feed mechanism accelerates throughput on repetitive tube sheet work without sacrificing bevel accuracy. Available in pneumatic, electric, and battery versions.

MINI K OD

External-clamping variant covering ØE 10–60 mm – the bore is never contacted, making it the correct choice where internal surface condition must be preserved. Suitable for food-grade tubing, pharmaceutical lines, and hydraulic instrumentation where internal cleanliness matters. Pneumatic, electric, or battery drive.

MINI C40

At 40 mm body diameter, the MINI C40 is one of the most compact machines in the G.B.C. range, reaching confined tube configurations where larger machines cannot fit. It covers Øi 20–39 mm (optional up to 12.4 mm). Suited to dense tube bundles in heat exchanger fabrication. Available in pneumatic, electric, and battery versions.

MINI AUTO COMPACT

Adjustable automatic feed reduces operator intervention across large quantities of identical bevels, keeping bevel geometry consistent throughout long tube sheet runs. Internal clamping on Øi 20–42 mm. Suited to repetitive heat exchanger retubing and boiler tube preparation where manual fatigue would otherwise introduce variability. Pneumatic, electric, or battery drive.

TC series: external clamping for confined spaces and sensitive pipe materials

TC40

External-clamping machine for ØE 10–48.3 mm (0.39″–1.9″); the bore is never contacted, protecting internal surface condition on hydraulic tubing and instrument lines. Available in pneumatic and electric drive. Suited to confined-space maintenance turnarounds and tube panel construction where access around the pipe is restricted.

TC73

Extends external-clamping capability to 73 mm OD (0.40″–2.87″). Quick lever-lock clamping reduces setup time between bevels; handwheel axial feed gives controlled depth management; interchangeable jaws adapt to different diameters without changing the machine body. Pneumatic and electric drive options.

Boiler series: tube preparation for power generation and industrial plant maintenance

BOILER K

Covers Øi 28–76 mm (1.10″–2.99″) for boiler tube sheet and heat exchanger bundle work. Operates inside confined tube arrays where access is restricted and consistent bevel quality across hundreds of tubes directly determines weld pass rates. Available in pneumatic, electric, and battery configurations.

BOILER 1-4 K

Internal clamping on Øi 23–108 mm (0.90″–4.25″) with a four-slot chuck allowing multiple simultaneous machining operations in a single setup. Suited to power plant and industrial facility turnarounds where throughput on large tube sheets is critical. Pneumatic, electric, and battery drive.

BOILER 1-4 K AUTO

Same Øi 23–108 mm range and four-slot chuck as the BOILER 1-4 K, with automatic feed added to further reduce operator intervention on repetitive tube sheet operations. A practical choice for sustained production during plant shutdowns where minimising per-tube cycle time matters. Pneumatic, electric, and battery drive.

SUPERBOILER T5

The largest machine in the Boiler series: Øi 49–207 mm (1.92″–8.14″). Optional pneumatic clamping accelerates repetitive setups; optional extension shafts allow work on elbows, tees, and flanges during turnarounds at gas processing plants, power stations and nuclear facilities where heat-generating processes require special permitting.

Supermaxi and Hypermaxi series: large-diameter pipe beveling for pipelines, refineries, and water infrastructure

SUPERMAXI 4_16

Handles Øi 94.5–318.5 mm (3.7″–12.5″), extendable to 16.45″. Six-wide-point clamping distributes load evenly, minimising vibration on thick-wall schedules. Interchangeable tooling produces V-bevels, J-bevels, and compound geometries in the same setup. Pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, and brushless motor drive options.

SUPERMAXI 7_24

Extends the operating range to Øi 180–504 mm (7.08″–19.84″), extendable to 24″. Retains the same six-point clamping architecture and interchangeable tooling system as the SUPERMAXI 4_16. Suited to large transmission pipelines, desalination plant interconnects, and district cooling mains where Taweelah-scale diameters are involved.

HYPERMAXI 20_40

Addresses the largest pipe diameters in the G.B.C. range: Øi 508–937 mm (20″–36″), extendable to 40″. High-torque hydraulic, pneumatic, or brushless drive delivers the force needed for heavy wall thicknesses on major transmission pipelines, large desalination plant interconnects, and offshore export risers.

Choosing the right machine for your application

Pipe diameter and schedule: Mini and TC series for small-bore instrument lines; Boiler series for tube sheets and heat exchangers up to 207 mm; Supermaxi and Hypermaxi for large-bore pipeline work from 3.7″ to 40″.

Material specification: All models handle carbon steel, stainless, Duplex, and Super Duplex. Duplex beveling on desalination and offshore work requires cold process to avoid sensitisation – G.B.C. machines meet this requirement across the range.

Operating environment: Battery and pneumatic drive options across most series support field deployment without mains power. Cold beveling eliminates the Hot Work permit requirement on active plant sites.

G.B.C. Gulf holds machines in the region for demonstration and short-notice supply. Contact our team with your diameter range, material, required bevel profile, and operating environment – we will confirm the correct model, available configurations, and lead times.
