Pipe Clamps

Pipe alignment clamps for Gulf industrial welding

Correct pipe alignment before welding is a prerequisite for weld quality, dimensional accuracy, and inspection pass rates. G.B.C. pipe clamps Gulf operators rely on cover the full spectrum of industrial pipe work: bridge clamps for spool fabrication workshops, chain clamps for large-diameter pipeline field joints, cage clamps for structural steel assemblies, and internal clamping tools for flanged connections on process piping. The range spans outside diameters from 10 mm to 72 inches.

Pipe clamps for welding preparation across the Gulf

In UAE Oil & Gas construction, petrochemical plant maintenance, and shipbuilding facilities G.B.C. clamps are used across the full project cycle – fabrication shop, pre-assembly yard, and field tie-in. The range includes stainless steel construction throughout for corrosion-prone offshore and marine environments, and covers pipe-to-pipe, pipe-to-flange, pipe-to-elbow, and pipe-to-tee joint configurations.

Full range of pipe clamps

Ten product families address the complete range of pipe diameters and joint types encountered in Gulf industrial welding.

FTE and FTP clamps SS Ready: internal clamping for flanges, elbows, and tees

FTE Clamps SS Ready expand internally inside the pipe bore to hold position during welding – stainless steel construction throughout for corrosive service environments. A dual-clamp mechanism handles flanges, elbows, and tees across differing diameters without separate tooling, covering 54 to 520 mm. FTP Clamps SS Ready serve the same function over a larger range of 54 to 940 mm, holding concentricity on large flanged connections in spool fabrication and pressure vessel work across Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Pincer clamps SS Ready: fast alignment across different pipe diameters

Pincer Clamps SS Ready are designed for joining two pipes of different diameters: an automatic diameter compensation system adjusts to the dimensional difference without manual intervention, covering 10 to 330 mm outside diameter. The clamp geometry keeps the full weld circumference accessible once set, allowing the welder to complete all passes without repositioning – useful during repair work in operating refineries and petrochemical facilities where diameter transitions are common.

Cage clamps: external line-up for structural pipe and pipeline construction

Cage clamps apply external clamping force around the pipe circumference for precise end-to-end alignment. Three variants cover the range: manual cage clamps (4″-24″) for straightforward fabrication, ratchet cage clamps (12″-60″) for faster tensioning across a wider diameter range, and hydraulic cage clamps (20″-60″) for heavy-wall pipe requiring consistent clamping force. Each model is available in “Tack” configuration (cross bars removed before main welding) or “No Tack” configuration (curved bars that allow up to 90% of the weld circumference to be completed with the clamp in place).

Chain clamps: large-diameter alignment and pipe reforming on site

Single Chain Clamps (12″-48″) use a chain tensioning system to draw pipe ends into alignment, with integrated jacks that reform out-of-round sections during clamping to eliminate Hi-Lo mismatches. The clamp stays in place through the full weld sequence. Double Chain Clamps extend coverage to 24″-72″ using extra-heavy jacks and main blocks, holding inside and outside diameter tolerance to 0.5 mm – suited to heavy transmission mains and large-bore export lines on major Gulf infrastructure projects.

Bridge clamps: spool fabrication and small-to-medium diameter pipe welding

Gold Bridge Clamps are forged steel clamps with stainless steel bearing wing screws, available in five models (GBC3 to GBC14) covering 1″ to 14″ outside diameter – a standard tool in spool fabrication workshops processing high volumes of small-to-medium diameter joints. Black Bridge Clamps cover 1″ to 12″ and accommodate carbon steel, stainless steel, Duplex, Super Duplex, and titanium, making them suitable for mixed-material joints in shipbuilding and marine repair facilities.

Choosing the right pipe clamp for your application

  • Small to medium diameter spool work: bridge clamps (Gold or Black series) cover 1″ to 14″ across all standard materials.
  • Large-diameter field joints and out-of-round pipe: single or double chain clamps with integrated reforming jacks.
  • Structural assemblies and pipeline construction: cage clamps in manual, ratchet, or hydraulic variants.
  • Flanged connections, elbows, and tees: FTE or FTP internal clamps.
  • Dissimilar diameters or mixed-spec pipe repairs: Pincer Clamps SS Ready. For corrosive environments including offshore platforms and desalination facilities, the SS Ready series extends service life over carbon steel alternatives.

G.B.C. Gulf’s team can recommend the appropriate clamp family based on your pipe specifications, material, and the joint types you are working with. For projects across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the wider Gulf, contact us with your diameter range, material, and joint configuration – we will confirm the correct product selection and availability.
